Sun is a powerhouse of energy. The gleaming ball of fire has in so much energy that it can charge up the whole of earth.

Hi McNeal. I'm new here too, but it looks like this has become a bit of a 'ghost' forum so perhaps this is why you didn't get a reply?

Regarding solar energy production, I agree with you that we need to invest more in this 'free' energy source. However in northern latitudes, like here in England, current technology means that it will always be an unreliable and expensive method of power production - we just don't get enough hours of consistent sunshine.

The government has again got it wrong in spending loads of taxpayers money deploying inefficient solutions. A better strategy would be to improving the efficiency of the technology so that enough useful energy can be harvested from low-level sunshine. Of course in more equatorial regions current systems can give us energy at reasonable cost, and this is where they should be deployed.

Sun is the big source of energy, every country can compensate their energy needs by using solar energy.
